Curriculum

At Hugs and Giggles, we encourage learning thorough play. We accomplish this by focusing on the children’s artistic, physical, emotional and intellectual development. At Hugs and Giggles, we feel it is important that children have the chance to explore and be creative; through different activities children will be able to achieve these goals.

Being located in the idyllic setting in Headstone Manor Park in Harrow children have the opportunity to visit the many treasures on Headstone Manor grounds such as the historic manor, playground, tennis courts and the duck pond.

Development Programmes

Baby programme (3 months – 18 months)
Our baby developmental program is designed to provide each child with a caring and stimulating environment. Each child will have a personalised schedule and feeding time. Our daily activities will ensure that each child is developing and having fun through our various activities.

The children will have the opportunity to be creative through arts and crafts, explore different texture during sensory play and develop fine motor skills using the various equipment and toys. While the children are engaged in these activities they will begin to develop the skills needed for speaking, listening, sitting and walking. This will prepare the children for the transition to our toddler developmental programme.

Toddler programme (18 months – 2 years 10 months)
Our toddler programme is designed to stimulate and give your child a chance to explore through age appropriate activities. We promote activities that will encourage the children to interact with their peers.

Our staff plan daily activities that include-creative, sensory, dramatic and cognitive play. We also focus on activities that will enhance the toddler’s fine and gross motor skills.

Preschool programme (2 years 10 months – 5 years)
Our preschool programme provides children with tools and the confidence they need when entering the school system.

To prepare them for school, we focus on letter recognition, numbers, colours, shapes, vocabulary and social skills.
